This is my first run with PP, and I’m pretty pleased with the results. It’s not quite as good as GC in the wear department, but the silicon level is a bit higher too, so that could account for some of the wear.
I definitely recommend this oil to LS1 owners!

Not sure what all the numbers mean without some other numbers to compare to, but I have been running it also.
No test as you have done, but I have not noticed anything that would not keep me from running it in the future.
Since I put on a HomeDepot oil sperator (as a catch can), I have added very little oil between changes.

I worked for Penzoil specifically for PP, and have seen some pretty amazing things from this stuff, Ive had it in the GTO since its first change. I still recomend it to everyone i know, even though im with another Oil company now.

I hate RP, this is my first time using it and it will be the last. It does fine at first but when heat soaked i lose oil pressure like it never has before. Not dangerously low but lower than i would like, and lower than with any other oil. Not to mention that I get little puffs of smoke when WOT when before i did not.

The first and only time I used RP my engine blew up BAD. My Billet crank was cracked in 4 places and shot 2 Dyers rods out the block. I'll never buy that junk again. Same thing happened to a friend of mine as well.

When I ran RP in my wife's Honda it thinned out from a 5w30 to a 5w20 in less than 3000 miles, and engine wear was a lot higher than with all the other oils I've ran in her car.
I've actually gotten much better results using Castrol GTX in her car than I did with RP!

Patman,
The information that you have provided here & on BITOG has been a blessing to my cars. Thank-you
BTW, I still have a few years supply of "Green" German Castrol.

I have never ran anything in my car but Mobil 1 and had good results with but I recently switched to the Pennzoil Platinum and it seems to have quiet down the motor (valves noisey) and freed up the motor a hair (reving) and I have always ran regular Pennzoil in all my cars and trucks for over 15yr now with GREAT RESULTS and I am Pleased with the Pennzoil Platinum and plan on sticking with it.

wow ill defiantly never use royal purple, i was under the impression that was high grade stuff. so when you are refering to "GC" is that german castrol? if i cant find that local then pennzoil platinum is a good choice correct?
