What's better for n/a engines? Split or equal duration?

What's better for n/a engines? Split or equal duration?
I'm looking for the best cam that I can run on stock cubes, in an A4, and will work best n/a. I know nitrous users opt for a reverse split cam but is equal duration ideal for n/a motors? Or would split duration work just as well? I'm thinking of going w/ the TR224 112 or the GTP 224/224 575/575 112. But I've been looking at other split duration cams also. Thanks in advance.

I tried to find out as much as I could about this before I ordered the TR224, and what I came up with is there is a lot of factors that come into it. In a low hp, near-stock engine with stock exhaust a traditional split is probably the best. For a high rpm high hp all out modified LS1 a reverse split is better because the intake becomes the flow bottle-neck. I plan to be somewhere in between these two extremes, so I got a single pattern cam.

From what I've seen the bigger the better. It doesn't matter where you put it, just get the most duration you can live with (max RPM wise), lift(spring life wise), and lobe sep. (idle quality wise.
If you can live with a 4500-8000 rpm band, choppy as **** idle, changing your springs every other weekend, you have a STEEP as gear, tall *** tire and a 8" convertor ( or bulletproof clutch), then go with a HUGE cam. If any of these bother you, then choose accordingly.
this is all relative to A BUNCH of other variables, but, like BRent @ TEA said, the stock LS1 heads just keep loving bigger and bigger cams. I remember when a 220 was a big cam- now look at the G5X2 on stock heads.... what next?
I wanna see the guy put a 242/242-.660"-.660-110 on a stock motor
just to see what would happen.
