time for new springs
I'm running a g5x2 cam on stock heads. I have Patriot-gold springs.
I have no idea how many miles are on the springs. I know at LEAST 20k. But when i got the car i was running 117 traps and mid 11's on a 100* day. now (about a year later) I'm running 110-111 traps and very high 11's on a good day.I noticed on my 1-2 and 2-3 shift that it "revs" almost..almost feels like I'm hitting a rev limiter. I'm pretty sure I'm getting valve float.
would this slow me down that much??

Pull 1 or 2 off and check them. Valve float typicially happens in the upper RPM's. We sell a ton of these springs with many customer's having bigger cams and more milage w/o any problems.
