Hey man, i looked it up and on summitracing.com and that number brought up a lunati cam, not slp. The part number was LUN-51012. It says its a 232/242 duration with a .544/.560lift and a 112 lobe. Now wheter its an SLP cam, the only way top know is to call them. Unless you miss understood them and they said it was a "FLP" cam which is Finish Line Performance. I dont know, check them both out.

did a little research on the net, I think the 51012 is an older grind, actual SLP part#'s for cams are: 51014, 51015 and 51016
sent them an email but didn't get any reply yet

so, if it's such an sleeper cam would it be a good idea to increase the performance of this baby cam by changing the rocker ratio, say from the stock 1.7 to 1.75

just found this at racepartsoutlet:http://www.performancepartsoutlet.co...nal_engine.htm
their specs of the cam are a little different from the CompCams specs, but anyways, can't find any info what dia. the Base Circle is, just ordered a set of YellaTerra Ultralites with a 1.8 ratio and need to figure out what pushrod length I need...

I measured the stock cam and came up with 1.549" BC, the CompCam BC should be around 1.527" (not 100% sure about these numbers, all depends on how you hold the caliper it shows a bit more or less, so my measurement should be around +/- 0.001) if you subtract the CompCams BC from the stock cams BC you get 0.022 so that would mean I need pushrods that are 0.011" longer than stock, if I'm correct, but it also depends on the shape of the YellaTerra Rockers, am I right???
So, best thing would be to wait until my rockers are here and then check for the proper length, but: it'll take two to three weeks to get the Rockers over here, then when I know the length I need, I have to wait another two to three weeks to have the pushrods shipped over basically I'm looking at about 6 weeks..........

I understand, but my concern is that the new rockers could be slightly different in design so that the 7.400's do not fit, don't you think so, or am I just too girlish??
would you recommend the CompCams HiTech Pushrods?

I see, I overlooked that, my bad. PM Patrick G, he has the same rockers, he can shed some light on that one.
Usualy rockers requiring different p-rods come as a whole kit like the Cranes.

today I fired the motor up for the first time, it started immediately, idles smoothly, almost like the stock cam and sounds badass!!!
I ran into some problems with the Rollmaster double roller chain, had to grind the timing cover and had to machine the oil pump cover, since the Melling pump is slightly beefier than the stock pump. Other than that everything went smoothly, I'm now waiting for my Ignition Coil Brackets, gonna have them powder coated.
So thanks to everybody for your help, espacially PredatorZ (took CC HiTech 7.450 pushrods after confirming with PatrickG)
