Default help neeeded! strange noise

so, last track pass i made i hear a funny noise come from the car after the car shifting into third as i passed the 1/4 mile mark, the noise sounds almost like a ticking, but really loud. or kinda like rap-rap-rap-rap.... constantly, but only while under throttle. i dont hear the noise at idle.

so far i checked the pushrods and rockers. and all were fine.

this weekend i plan to change/check the oil for metal shavings, etc. and possible check the lifters after that.

any ideas on what it might be or i should check?

car hasnt lost power, feels the same and oil Pressure is fine.

Because the fram filters restrict oil flow on ls1's, causing lifter tap at high rpms. Not your problem obviously. Are you running any additives in your oil? Lucas stabilizer will cause aeration and lifter tap also. It could be a worn pick-up tube o-ring as well. Just going off your description it sounds like lifter tap to me, and I have seen these 3 items cause that problem.

Just a thought, what about your converter bolts. I have seen where that can make strange noises.
