Removing Timing Chain Crank Sproket??
I'm in the process of installing a dbl timing chain. What did you use to remove the timing chain crank sprocket, also how did you install the new one? I assume it's pressed on??

Re: Removing Timing Chain Crank Sproket??
i used a 3 jaw pulley puller to get the crank sprocket off (had to do a little grinding on the arms to get it to fit). to put on the new sprocket, i pushed it on by hand and then put the stock sprocket on after that and tapped it on with a hammer. this seemed to work quiet well. good luck with the install

i used a hammer to tap it on then put the crank bolt back in and tightened it to make sure it pressed the new sprocket all the way in/on. seemed like it pushed it to right about where the stock one was when i pulled it off.

Re: Removing Timing Chain Crank Sproket??
Thanks guys
I tried the 3 leg puller and couldn't get it to fit behind it. I'll grind the legs down a bit and try that.
