Default Cam suggestions for lq9.

Looking for some suggestions for a cam for an lq9. Don't plan on doing much to the engine, other than the basic boltons like headers and the such. I remember reading somewhere that a 2000 and up ls1 cam is a decent upgrade from the stock lq9? I would prefer to go that way seeing as you can pick them up cheap, but if there is an aftermarket cam that will work a little better i wouldn't mind spending the extra.
