Default LS2 timing chain install

I am going to refresh an engine. Does anybody know if the LS2 timing chain damper works on a ls1 motor? The notes state that it is for high rpm applications but I am not sure that it will work on a LS1 block.

No it will not work because the length between the bolts is different for each dampner. GM makes a LS1 specific dampner.

My friend's 04 ZO6 block was drilled for the LS2 damper. The earlier (beige) damper with the wider bolt spacing is discontinued from GM.
