what cam to go with 02 z, 243 heads, daily driver Well, some how a blown head gasket has turned into a disolved #1 combustion chamber, so I am going to pick up a new set of 243's from patriot. I figured while I am at it I might as well stick a baby cam in. I want to use the ls6 springs that come in the heads, so I want something friendly to them, good for an a4 daily driver. Has headers/exhaust 3.73 gear, but no stall, planning to maybe get a small 3000 or so. At first I was going to just find a z06 cam and go that route, that got me thinking a hotcam, then a asa cam, but just worried about driveability with the 110lsa and a small converter. Would like to go with a tr224 or similar, but figured that would be too much lift for the springs. Let me know what you think.

The 02+ LS6 valve springs can be used with a TR224. They just need to be installed to the correct installed height to get around 130lbs on the seat. While this can be
done I would go ahead and use a 918 or dual spring for added insurance. BTW I DD my TR224 all the time and its perfect.
