pushrod length help
i have an 01 zo6. i recently added MTI stealth 2 cam, livernois stage 2 heads, and lt headers. i seem to have a little more valvetrain noise than normal. i am using 7.4 pushrods right now. i ordered the pushrod length tool but its not here yet. i did a check earlier and i seem to have about 1 to 1 1/2 turns after zero lash. does anyone else have a similar setup? what size pushrods did you use?

What side of the valve is the rocker on (exhaust or intake side)? If they're in the center you don't need to change length. Too long it's sit closer to the exhaust side, and intake side for too short. Loosen a rocker and see where it hits.

This statement is true for fully adjustable rockers, but not for stock rockers that are fixed fulcrum. Pushrod length will not change the wipe pattern of the rocker, only raising or lowering the rocker pivot point height will do this. Pushrod length only determines lifter preload.

I here by nominate Vettenuts as the undisputed king of valvetrain set-up with a special emphasis on pushrod length and lifter preload.
