Default what to expect from a 232/237...571/.577 112* cam in a LS6

thinking of cam for 02-ZO6, mods include LT headers and vortex air...current 380rwhp/370rwtq (see sig), can I expect 415 rwhp/ 390 rwtq? I will have LS1-edit dyno tuning...what will driving habits be (car is my daily driver)...thanks.

this cam was recommended to me as a great matchup for ZO6 with stock heads and my mods...i plan on putting a cam in soon and trying to decide between a cam like above or a more moderate TR 224 or MTI C2 etc. any help appreciated.

a million kajillion RWHP.

seriously though, i'd stick with the z06 cam, you've got potential to do over 420 RWHP, and keep a stock idle. you're not looking at much more than that with a cam swap.

on the other side of the coin, it's gonna lope pretty good, and smell rich, scare little children ect... with good tuning, it'd put you well over 400, but in all reality, probably see the same gain out of a set of heads and 1.8 rockers w/o the noise/wiggles/gas mileage decrease, none of which are bad things ;D

It's all a mater of taste, but I sure like my TR224. IMO, the stock Z06 cam is too mild and comes on too late in the rpm curve, and a 232/237 cam is a bit too wild for street use. 224 class cams are kind of the best of all worlds. Idling you will know it's not stock, but it won't rock the motor off it's mounts either. Z06 cam has a totaly stock idle, which would not please me after all the work of installing the damn thing.

why is that do you think? if you've ever run a bigger cam, than the 224, you'd know that they drive and operate great in our hydraulic roller applications. i feel that this is mostly due to the fact that fuel injection *generally* requires a higher LSA to keep the vaccum constant, and that also adds to the driveablilty.

i've got a similar cam in my car (232/238) but it's on a 114 LSA. no driveability issues, and i drive it every day. im about to go back with a 240/246 ish cam and see how that works out. driveability and all
