Default I need an lsx specific guide

I have a 98 T/A and I am wanting to do a 383 build. I have quite a bit of mechanical experience but this would be my first from the ground up build. I am looking for a book to educate me more on the ls based motors. My fathers friend is an amazing engine builder and will do all the necessary machining. I will have his guidance through the entire build but i want to go into it prepared. I need a guide/book/manual to be educational as well as having torque specs and such. let me hear some suggestions please

I would recommend the GM Service Manuals. They have all of the torque specs and procedures (including LS-specific tools). Here's a new one that just came out. It's specific to building a high performance LS motor. The writer used to write for GMHTP and documented a 383 stroker builder tech series a couple of years ago.
