Default Best heads for a tr224/563 112

Emailed gunnar at patriot and one of the johns at texas speed but its been a week or so and still nothing. I have looked at the stage 2 ls6 heads and the 5.3 prc heads. Just want the best all around head for my set-up. Cam only with all the supporting mods. I am just wanting something to hold me over for about 6 months to a year before I start my engine build with a procharger. Best run so far with cam only is 11.92@114. Any advice would be great. If you guys have any dyno numbers and or graphs would be great. Thanks.

If your budget will support them AFR 205's are one of the best you can put on there and I have them on sale right now. I'll pm you.

Default Heads

I have the stage 2 LS6 patriot heads and the 220/220/112 .581 .581 cam and the car made 295rwkw. I don't know what horsepower that is. I don't beleive that there is that big a performance difference to warrant the extra cash of some of the bigger brands.

Why put higher compression heads on now if you're going with a Procharger within the next year?

The procharger build is going to be a 370 or 408. Not my engine now. Just want something to hold me over until then. I've actually been told by a few people that the ls6 heads would work good with both engines. I know the AFR's are going to make the most power but I really don't want to spend 2500 dollars on heads right now.

Wow, those are awesome numbers!

I have a TR224/.563/112 cam, LS6 intake and I'm going to be installing catted ARHs, UD Pulley, and the same heads as you but 64cc chambers and 1.8 rockers (which will make my cam lift slightly more than yours). Is it possible I could make numbers close to you? Thanks.

Just want to say sorry if I hijacked your thread Mr. B, I wanted to ask SSwt00SS a quick question.

BTW, I went with LS6 243 heads but haven't installed them yet. Same cam as you.

I had the same cam with CNC ported heads from TR racing. With FLP Long tubes, and a 2&1/2 catted Y I put down 400 and 385 with a mail order tune on a Dynojet. I had an Ls6 intake but that was it. I know with a better setup these heads with your cam will bring higher numbers.
I am selling my heads if your interested bc I'm going with a bigger cam and livernois stage 3 heads. They may be what you need to hold you over until you get the 408 and the price is negotiable.
Check them out... https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/972934-tr-cnc-ported-heads-tr224-cam-pr-lifters-oil-pump-head-bolts.html

probably not as much as me since you have a 12-bolt/gears, and are still running an Ls6 intake. i also cant give a for certain answer because you have rockers of which since im running a hydrolic lift cam, it wouldnt help my application...

you have a few tings installed on your car that i dont and vice versa...

i would think you'd be near to over 410rwhp...

post up your results once you install the heads...

Thanks for the reply! Appreciate it.

You definitely have a better setup for power, especially the Fast 90/90, but I'd be very happy if I made 410.

In a few weeks I should be able to post my numbers. Thanks again.

Have you checked out Livernois? They have great heads too. I use them any time I build an LS* and have nothing but great service, product, and results. Good luck on your quest...
