Default Opinions needed

I currently have the Cheatr Cam and ZO6 heads ( supposed to be the ones with hollow stem intakes and Sodium filled Exhausts). I like the stock like sound but a little more lopeyness wouldn't hurt. Car is a daily driver, I prefer power under the curve and hardly ever rev high.

I only want to do one thing soon and maybe another mod later (no HEADS/CAM together). I can do the CAM work and Head swap but don't want to do the flycutting (which means bringing to a shop)

1. Another CAM only - Change cam to something more aggressive, w/o Flycutting. What suggestions?

2. Heads and Flycuttting (for later cam job, in case I want to go big cam)
Send my heads out for work or get AFR's.

Note Each step should not preclude doing the other. So the CAM picked in one should work well with Head setup to be done at a later date. Or the Heads should work well with a cam installed later.

I think the answer is probably going to be do the heads/cam together! I've been running some DCR calculations and I'm going nuts trying to find the right combination.

I have 365 RWHP would like 400+....

Am I clear?
TIA

Just curious if you plan on keeping the shorties, I believe that makes a big difference in the cam selection

I think if you just get some longtubes, and switch the cam to one with a smaller split, you'll reach your goal. A LG G5X-2, or 3 @ 114 will be very tunable, and you won't have to flycut.

I never thought of getting rid of the shorties!

What's the Cost vs Benefits? Seems like a huge cost for a few more HP.
I like low to mid range power.

Thanks guys!

that cam with LTs and untouched 243s should be darn close to 400rwhp.

i would definatly do the headers...

if you want a little more power, pull the heads and have them touched up. even a basic p/p job should net another 15-20hp

Or step the cam up to the TR224 or torquer and it will put you in the 400 range.
