Has anybody used this iron block for their engine. Also has anybody put in a 4.100 in crank or the 4 in crank. How much hp do you get and whats your torque curve with what camshaft. I am thinking about this block because when I buy my f-body I am wondering if I should buy the v6 and convert it to the iron gen III block or buy an ls1 f-body. I kind of want to do the v6 because its cheaper and I will use hardly any of the stock f-body parts. I want to do camshaft, block, piston, etc, intake, injectors, water pump, and complete exhaust ( lt headers plus true dual or really good cats). What would you all do in my situation? Which one do you think is cheaper to do?

Many people have done the 408 (LQ4/LQ9 with a 4.00" crank). Do a search for each of your questions to find your answers.

But do you think it is feasible to buy the v6 and convert or buy the ls1 and pull the block etc, etc.
