Default forged rods and pistons for a LS1

ok, well i blew my piston ring in my 99 ls1 z28. I just dont want to fix the piston rings i want to make my ls1 a bit stronger by buying some forged rods and pistons for a LS1. i dont want to bore it out or anything and im planning on using nitrous. will i have to buy a new crankshaft and what kind of rods and pistons should i buy? what the best place to buy from?

thank you for your time!!!

You shouldn't ever bore the stock sleeves, but you will need to hone it if the damage isn't too great. You'll need the fresh crosshatch of a fresh hone job for the new rings to break in properly.

You shouldn't have to get a new crank. Just get it turned.

If you want to send us your block, we can install a new set of rods, pistons, rings, and bearings. Generally we would take the block to 3.903. Give me a call at 440-327-7702 or shoot me a PM and we can go over some pricing.

Thanks,
Leo
