what is the difference between these motors? and there blocks
L9-2
LS-3
LS-9
LS-A

The L92,LS3,and LS9 are all the same casting as of 2008. The L-92 has DOD, the LS9 has piston oil coolers ,deck plate honed and bigger dia. head bolts. The LS3 is just the updated casting of the old L-92. The L-99 has AFM (new term for the old DOD) and VVT. The bore on these are 4.065 with a 3.622 stroke.

well i have a 6.2L block. how do i tell what it is?

Im sure there is a casing number somewhere on the block...im not sure where but someone will probrably chime in and tell ya where.
