Is this cam ok for a mostly stock LS1? Here's the specs:
224/224 .601 117 @ 50
It's a custom grind. Just wanting a cam for a mildly stock LS1. Ported heads and ported TB are pretty much the only mods.

Fairly small cam but very streetable and should make decent power under the curve. If your planning on keeping a mild setup then this cam is probably what your looking for. Would make a good blower or nitrous cam.

A4. Actually the car is a 1991 Trans Am GTA. I am swapping in an LS1 from a '99 Z28 (just realized I posted this in Gen IV and not Gen III)and figured I may as well throw something mild in there now while the motor is out. But I don't want to have any troubles with emissions so I didn't wanna go too big. Thanks for the input guys! Any suggestions for a stall? I am getting a rebuilt tranny but won't have a TC yet.

I don't know, I am not good with cam specs XD. I wanted a fairly stock idle and something that's not gonna give me trouble with emissions. Thus the 117 LSA. I thought that 224/224 was fairly good, something like the TR224 cam? I have no clue. Any power gain estimates? Or do you think I am just wasting my money?
