Why doesnt anyone do ls4 !!!

maybe you should check in another section like the FWD LS4 one, but honestly the LS engines are all the same internally. The heads should be a 241 version, the intake is different due to it being on the engine backwards. There are alot of things you have to accomodate for like the oil pressure sensor and a few other things. also the transaxle is somewhat puzzling to alot of people/perf aftermarket companies, and they decide to stay with the normal longitudinal configuration for alot of builds. They also have a problem with traction and do not have alot of capability for traction mods like the RWD crowd. Also the exhaust is a problem as well, being the crossover and all from the front to make it work.

All of that being said, there is alot you can do with the LS4, you just have to be a little more creative!

thanks for the info -- but i found one with 30k on it with 243 casting heads
and i was only going to use the long block ----

there are a few differences in the block iirc, make sure to check them out first. but otherwise have fun

I've read they had to shorten the block to make em fit FWD. I dont know iffin its true or not though.

also there is no place to mount a starter, on the fwd ls4 cars the starter is mounted to the top of the transmission, and the bellhousing bolt pattern is different than a standard small block/ ls block
