Default New LS7 Engine, No Oil Circulation to Cooler

From scratch engine/block. What did my engine builder forget? Some oil plug? I have great oil pressure, but the oil cooler lines are STONE COLD. I'm worried.

Did you wait until the oil is warm? If you're using stock oil cooler lines there is a thermostat built into the attachment block.

Jason,

Thanks for your response.

Investigating at the posterior aspect of my old block tonight, I found a plug which diverts the oil from the main oil channels to the filter and coolers. If this is left out, which I believe happened, oil bypasses this.

In weather like this I have to cover the oil coolers as the oil temp gets only to 120*. It is currently 190* which alerted me to the problem.

Yep, leaving out the oil galley plug will do it.

Stock pistons ok to 650 HP. Stock sleeves ok to 660 hp. And they were right.
