Question L-92 piston rock?

I tore down a low mileage 6.2 motor because of a customer complaint of a ticking noise. This motor had a new cam and lifters at another dealership. They thought that was the cause. It wasn't.With the pistons at t.d.c everyone of them rock with a gentle push making a ticking noise?Loud with the heads off.Has anyone run into this or have any input?I am sure warranty will replace the motor but I am curious of the cause. Thanks my motor head brothers!

If its an AFM engine Id suspect those parts first. If not LS engines are notorious for piston slap when cold but it typically goes away after they warm up
