Default Swapping crank tone rings

How tough is it?

I have a 24 tooth ring on the crank and want to run a later model computer to go with a 6L90E.

Engine is entirely disassembled. What needs to happen?

The 24x reluctor wheel needs to be changed to a 58x wheel. Maybe a local shop that does a lot of LS builds may have the special alignment tool to put the 58x back on.

The existing wheel is removed with heat and the changeover unit is heat shrunk back on. Easiest to do with the tool but also possible to do without.
