Default PTV clearance

I was wondering if anyone knew how far I can have my LS3 heads milled down while being ported. I am running a LQ4 block with Mahle .030 L92 pistons and stock thickness head gasket. I am running a G6X3 camshaft in this motor. Just curious if anyone knew how much I could mill them. My goal is to get 11.3-1 or so compression out of the motor with just some milling.

Thanks,

Dustin

You should be alright with those pistons but you can double check upon assembly.

If the pistons have a valve relief for L92 heads then you can mill them as much as you want. Valve reliefs on these motors typically give you more then enough room to do whatever you need heads/cam wise.

Thanks John, that's exactly what I wanted to hear.

Any idea on a power idea on this set up?

04 lq4
4.030 l92 style pistons
Eagle h beam 6.125 rods
Stock crank
Stock ls3 heads
11:1 compression
Tsp 231/236
Victor jr intake
Holley 750 dp

Do you sell a better cam for all out power on a carbed lq4/ls3 setup?
