Default Ls3 cam and/or h/c combos

I'm most likely getting a ls3 and im wondering what cam and h/c combos are putting down the most power. also if there are any sound clips and videos of them.

Consider having the stock LS3 CNC'd by a good company like WCCH or AI and take their recommendations for a cam. Great combination at not a ton of costs.

my friend just sent me a text yesterday that his ls3 Vette made 450 through an automatic on a Mustang dyno. He has headers and a cam but the heads are still stock. I think the cam is like a 222/228 but I can get him in here to give you all the details. Thats alot of power for a small cam with stock heads and intake.

LIVERNOIS MOTORSPORTS L92 STAGE 2C CAMSHAFT is a good choice. They have heads to match.

Jannetty 470 blower cam is another nice cam.

I like Lingenfelter products but they are expensive. I'm looking at their LS9 heads made for an LS3 block with matching cam.

G6x3, 480-500 rwhp every time in a manual trans car. Add heads, and youll see 520-540.

I've spent a lot of time tuning a friends car (6 speed 4th gen Trans Am) with an LS3 with a G6X3 in it...when you first fire that cam on an un-tuned car, you think "holy crap this thing is huge"...but when you spend enough time in the PCM...I was really impressed how much I was able to tame it and make it drive very very nicely...and it just makes flat out awesome power.

For whats its worth a junkyard lq9 with cnc heads (shoot gmpp cnc l92 600 a piece..cheap!) and medium cam will give you 500 easy...get a serious cam and you can make 550 no doubt, prob would need some mast heads to make that though!
