Default New guy with a 2010 camaro ss with a need for more speed.

I just want to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Rell and I'm from Pittsburgh, PA. I have a 2010 camaro ss with a cold air intake magna flow exhaust, and it's lowered an inch. I need some help and suggestion on how to make her faster.

Or blower by the time you are done with cam heads and all the supporting mods to take advantage of the above mods you are not too far away from just going the forced induction route of a blower. Then you have the benefit of not cracking open a brand new engine to modify it and companies like edelbrock etc offer a powertrain warranty on top of it to sweeten the deal.. The blower will be smog legal also I don't know if that's a concern where you are from. Here I could give 2 ***** less about smog legal.

Depends on how much of a need for speed you have and how deep your wallet is. The sky's the limit once you pop your camaros cherry and begin modding her.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking going forced induction. I like kenne bell. I had 1 on a 01 mustang gt. I loved how it made that gt run. How much boost can a stock ls3 take before it breaks? Should I do the heads and cam before I do the sc?

Your LS3 has a decent set of heads on it from the factory. I'd try the FI first, maybe a cam change second, CNC port job on your heads third. Procharger is another option if you want to consider a centri blower - pretty popular on this site.

Don't forget a significant increase in power should be matched with drivetrain upgrades or you could end up breaking some stuff. Gen V 2 piece drive shaft and rear CV's are things you might want to upgrade in the future as power goes up.

Do an ECS centrifugal supercharger kit, they pushed over 800rwhp on a STOCK MOTOR with that kit.

I don't know your budget or goals. But I'd start by upgrading the drivetrain first like the half shafts and drive shafts too. They are not cheap your looking at 1k right there. Then I'd look into a forged short block (built with your goals for power in mind) like a FI route or NA. ID YOU are looking for about 450-470 hp I'd look at those G6x cams from LG or those new England green cams. Those guys are putting almost 500 hp with ported Ls3 heads and cam with Fast 102 intakes. Just my .02

Give East Coast Supercharging (ECS) a call, they have been getting very good results with their Paxton kit. They have been doing the same with the Lysholm blower for the roots crowd. Either way, they can steer you right, I have had their C5 kit for years and still love it!!

Is your car an auto or manual?
If manual, 500-550 really isn't too hard to reach, even an E-Force could get you there.
We've installed several kinds of superchargers on 2010+ Camaros. Really depends on what you like and how you want to use that power.
One of our favorites is the ECS kit, like 9secVette mentioned. You can get great power out of those, they are very streetable, look cool, and stay cool (temperature wise) too unlike many of the top mount chargers. We also like ProCharger, Magnuson and Whipple.
We have several cars well over 600hp to the wheel using each of these chargers.

Feel free to give us a call, email or PM and let us know what your plans and goals are, and we can help you reach and exceed those!
