ls3 piston to valve clearance
has anyone ran into piston to valve clearance problems with the ls3? ive been told that your kinda limited in terms of lift and duration when choosing a camshaft for this motor. my ls3 isnt exactly stock, has good rods and pistons in it, mahle forged flat tops with 4cc valve reliefs for the big ls3 intake valve, the deck has been cut about .003 to clean it up and the pistons come out above the deck .008 to .010. the heads have stock 70cc chambers, i dont think ill have any P/V clearance issues due to the big valve reliefs in the pistons. gimmie some input on this.

everything needs to be taken in
the pistons stick out
what gasket are you using
what is the cam profile
you just need to check
rule of thumb for the industry is 80 thou intake 100 thou exhaust
^^^ but everyone is different on what is tight or not-
CHECK

cam specs
i havent bought a camshaft yet, i dont think i should buy one until i figure out what i can get away with, there are bound to be some sort of baseline numbers to go by.
