Look in the picture of the piston. Bottom left coolant passage you can see the crack in the block.

I have a forged LS7 441 shortblock with coated Wiseco that's never been fired if interested? Only thing needed would be an oil pan and heads!

Yeah. Thinking that 2 piece exhaust valve came apart. If both of you guys could send me some pics and details and prices of what you're willing to offer I can present it to the owner of the car so we can move forward with this.

Thanks

Can you post more pictures of the block as it is disassembled further? Might be able to be repaired and sleeved. Would be a lot stronger than a new LS7 block

RED or ERL can resleeve it depending on the damage.

Default LS7 repair

I can usually weld up the block and install Darton Seal Tight dry liners. I have four cracked LS7 blocks here for repair with similar damage.

Worst case would be MID if the damage is too great for the block to be successfully welded.

One of my customers just lost a LS7 to a overcammed motor. .680 lift can only go so far. Lost an exhaust spring at the track and then it dropped an exhaust valve. The only thing that survived was the Jesel rockers....
