Default Comp cams LSL lobe and stealth cam

I am looking for a stealthy cam for my LS2 and also in order to pass CA smog. Was looking to get a custom 227-231-117 LSA (-5 overlap) comp cam with the LSL lobes. I have read that these lobes make real good down low torque as well, any thoughts on this cam? Also, will this cam require special length pushrods?

I just ordered a cam with LSL lobes. You will need to post lift as well. I would bet the 7.400" pushrods are fine, but use the pushrod length checker to be sure.

Lift is .614 on the intake and .617 on the exhaust side.

Ran a 227/235 .613/.621 112+2 Pat G cam on LSL, and it was a beast down low compared to my previous "Torquer" 2. Ran stock length PRs too..7.400

Do you have a dyno sheet

I know from one friend that the same cam used and the car is really powerfull but he didn't dyno the car.

If you want a stealth cam, you're going about it the wrong way.
You're not going to have really good low down torque running a 227/231 with a 117lsa.
I'd go with a 219(lsl)/226(lxl) 114+3 lsa (-5.5* overlap), or a 215(lsl)/222(lxl) 112+0 lsa (-5.5* overlap). Running the lxl lobes on the exhaust will cut down on the valvetrain noise.

I have the Lingenfelter GT11 cam in my 2005 LS2. It qualifies as a "stealthy" cam because it idles smooth as silk at 700 rpm.

Specs are:
Duration: 215° intake / 231° exhaust.
Lift: .631" intake / .644" exhaust.
LSA: 118°
Overlap: -12°.

I run Patriot Gold springs which are rated to .650". Some people say the springs don't last on high lift cams like this but after 25,000 miles, they were still within spec.

With all my mods, the last dyno showed 473 rwhp / 425 rwtq. You can over cam these cars really easily. Long duration cams were the norm on the older SBC with heads that flowed a lot less. But with the LSx heads, reversion becomes a problem and it hurts low and mid-range torque. I have witnessed cam swaps from big cams to much smaller ones with huge gains in the mid-range and just a small amount of top end HP. The net results would be an overall much faster car because its the average power over the engine operating range that you want.
