Default LS2 maximum bore over size

What is the Max. over bore for LS2 block in practical applications? (without rock block filled water jackets)

I believe you can only go about .030 over on the Ls2 before you have to resleave it.
Resleeve*.

And the 0.030 over is only if you sonic test it and it's looking good. Though it's not a guarantee at all if it can go that much.

Most people either go 0.005 or 0.010 over at the most.

You didn't mention for what application, FI or NA? If NA then .030 but you will usually run into one side of the stock sleeve being thinner then the other side due to core shift. If running FI then I would just do the usual .005 or .010.

No, the LS1 block can't go past .005 almost no matter what. The LS2 block bored .030 is still thicker then a stock LS1 block.

Have a machine shop sonic check it.

Some people have only gone 4.020 others have gone 4.070 and irons a little more.
