Default Anyone running this cam Comp 247/255

For my new 402 LS2 build

I had planned on shooting for 12.1 static compression, this cam will give me right around 8.5 dynamic and is in the right operating range. Says it for 400+ cubic inch motors.

Just wondering how the drivability would be. Along with a fast 102, and TEA stage 2 LS6 heads.

If I drop the compression back to about 11.5 I (stock head gasket vs. .040 Cometic) I can run a smaller possibly more street-able cam.

Also thought about running the 12.1 compression and this cam with the LS6 intake to maybe help drivability, then I could put the Fast 102 on later to compare. Cant decide.

Looks like a good cam. I'm going smaller on my 416" (233°/245°) mainly because I'm running a 4 speed with 3.20-ish gears and need the torque...

run a different cam. that has too big of a split and your midrange will suffer. id run a g5x4 or a 239 247 624 624 113+2

In a 402, it will be fine. It's not too big, run it

I backed it off a little bit and came up with this cam. May have it custom ground.

Messing with some number again. What do you think of this cam? I came up with this one.

241/249 113+4 not sure on the lift.

I am coming up with

Quench .040
GM Gasket .051
Pistons .011 out of the hole
Heads at 66cc
Piston 3cc
Engine Bore 4.005
Gasket bore 4.020

Static compression would be 11.7:1
Dynamic compression would be 8.6:1

242/250 113+4 would be 1 more degree of over lap but would put my DCR at 8.5
