I went with Vic Jr. and FAST 4150 T/B. 1 Mast intake is best for the money 17$$.00 bucks in all out comp.
2 Custom sheet metal. even more 42$$.00 bucks
3 Holley Ram is good 800. 00 bucks and will rev and support a good amount of air.
4 Individual runner systems 5 to 8 grand
With any of these intakes you are looking for more top end. Also is hood clearance a problem.
Any of these intakes can support over 800 hp with Compression and right cam selection. I read earlier that you will use the Holley ECU. your a tune away. You will lose some torque at the bottom, but with over 625 ft lbs of torque, & your able to climb the REV. limiter.

You're going to find a few guys on here with big cube ITB set-ups - RAMPANT (455 Harrop), Stage7 (468 Jenvey) and myself (460 Kinsler). Cost and tuning are the biggest issues with them. All 700-800ish builds. Depending on the combo, they make alot of power in relatively low rpm....less than 7k. Air filtration is another challenge. While Harrop and Jenvey have filters or boxes, Kinsler does not....just screened bonnets. Street driving is unlike anything I've ever experienced N/A. Immediate throttle response, power at will....plus they're cool to look at

Thanks for the input guys...I can see that itb's are going to be out of my price range right now....I my two main requirements are to support 700+hp and to be drivable/reliable for weekend/daily driving

Also to Mr. LPE would you recommend the Mast C5R heads over a LS7 base head.

Just a bit of an update on trans build decision...Thinking I'm going to get Jakes to build the trans/converter/flexplate set up for me....just emailed him, waiting to hear back...

Also I am starting to lean toward the Texas-Speed PRC CNC ported ls7 heads.....with .700" lift springs, and either hollow stem stainless valves or titanium valves....$2,850 for hollow stem valves, $3,350 for titanium valves....

Mack @ Emerald is a great guy. Excellent service before and after the sale. It sounds like he is giving you a smoking deal on the intake. I paid more...

If it were me I would go with the LS7 based heads.

If for what ever reason you had to part out the motor, or switch to different intake, the LS7 has way more potential buyers. C5Rs are custom intake only.

The latest crop of LS7 based stuff flows a ton.

Me I have the MAST 275cc Cathedrals with a 55mm Harrop. Not making the jam Stage 7 and LPE403 are, but 700 plus FWHP is nothing the sneeze at either.

If you are interested, this is how I ducted mine to the factory Ram Air.

That is a pretty trick looking set up....This engine is going into a chevelle so I don't have a factory intake to worry about routing....If I do go ITB I will probably go with some sort of individual filter set up on each trumpet...

Mast with titanium valves, and matching LSXR intake with a 4150.

A big engine can use the big intake runner. 305 is what I would try to get.

The 4150 intake would look pretty cool with the accufab tb on it with an old school looking filter on top...I guess I am just in between the mast 305's and prc 285's...they are the same price...I need to do some research on power capabilities of each head....
