Default .040 head gaskets?

Is cometic the only company that makes them for the LS?

It seems to be the case from what I've seen. They are good pieces, used them a few times.

Fel Pro makes a set of 4.100 x .041 MLS gasket that is more affordable than Cometic.

Im using the felpro .041 gaskets, much more affordable

I know I'm to be critiqued but if I was you I would must definitely check piston deck high before you get the .040 head gasket for a 4.100 bore block.
Is cutting it really close, with piston in top dead center push down the outer side of the piston and measure how much the high side sticks out of the bore, your finding may change your mind.

The 4.100 is the bore of the gasket not the block.
