09 l92 cold weather/start noise?
My 03 5.3 escalade did this as well, (all the way from 100k to 200 k when I sold it) And I've heard other ls based trucks do this as well. My 6.2 has 130k on it, and I started having flashbacks when I heard it lol! Both trucks have great oil pressure, I seem to think I read something about the oil pick up tubes o-ring being an issue or something like that. Any thoughts?

Could be piston slap. If you plan on keeping the L92 running I'd seriously consider new (afremarket) valve springs. If you really think you lost the pickup o-ring (doubt it personally) do this while the engine is being worked on.
I am betting its piston slap or a lifter

Maybe the piston slap, that's common among all ls motors right? I just thought it was interesting they both did it, and it's only aperant on a cool weather, cold start. And by cool weather, I'm in fla, so 50/60 degrees lol! So you say the 6.2 springs are sub par?

I had a 2011 6.2 silverado and a 2013 6.2 sierra that had piston slap to beat the band on cold starts below 50 degrees. Even worse than my ls1 that has 100,000 miles on it. It seems to more prevalent in the 6.2 truck motors and I'm not sure why?
