Recently picked up a LQ4 from a 01 Silverado. It's been sitting for quite some time so I am gonna put a set of valve springs in it before I put it in. I was told that the yellow LS7 valve springs but I can't find anything confirming that or not. Has anyone on here tryed this or knows if it will work or not.

The yellow LS6 springs will work fine.

The LS7 springs, which are not yellow, would likely not be fine. They're obviously designed for an LS7 head which has a different installed height.

Oh ok. So the come out of the ls6 not ls7. Ok. Thank you. Are they a good upgrade for a mild motor.

Yeah, but it depends on the cam. Too much lift or too aggressive lobes will not work too well with them.
