I agree. I bet this will end up going for over 5k.
It would be nice though, it would answer all the questions of what is compatible, plus you could be the first one to build a stroked ls2 block.

I'm not saying that it's BS, but I don't know that you can tell from the pics that it is really an LS2. Also, look at the guy's feedback rating... all of 1 person has left him feedback. Don't get me wrong, we all have to start somewhere, but it's not like we're talking about an established eBay merchant here.

Dallas... aren't there a few Gen III specializing shops in the area? I'm not TOO surprised there's one of these for sale. I just figured the owner would rather keep it around and mod it if anything.

I would say that it is indeed an LS2. If you see the pictures of the LS2 in the Corvette you can see the similarities:
Same exhaust manifolds and heat shields
Same water pump pulley
Same funky colored spark plug wires
Same funky looking thing that is probably for drive-by-wire
Corvette oil filler cap
The intake manifold looks different than the LS1 and the LS6...even the surface texture of the manifold looks different
I'd guess it's the real deal.
