Default Piston Deck Height for stock LS2

What's the average range for the deck height on the LS2? Is it -0.006 to -0.008 like on the LS1? Or is it closer to a zero deck height?

When I was calculating my SCR for my setup I used -.007

Don't know if that is right though....

Your setup is what got me to thinking about it actually. I know Ed used a zero deck height to figure your SCR and DCR, but if it's out of the hole at all, then your SCR is actually a bit higher... like almost 12.5:1 with a DCR over 9.0:1. I guess it works, though.

Nah Ed calculated mine with 0 deck height and got a lower number.

I calculated and got 12.33 SCR

My first ls2 block with 4" eagle crank and rods was .005 in the hole. I am now doing an ls2 block with a stock crank and 6.125 rods( same length as 402 build), same piston manufacturer and the pistons are .008 out. I think the stroke on the 4" crank was not quite right. So from my experience you pretty much have to mock up the parts or it is guessing. Good luck.
