The price difference is in the crank, rods & pistons. Both are excellent combinations. It just depends on what you are looking for.

Thanks,
Bryan

You can take 1200 off any of the combinations above if you have the crankshaft.

Could you add a 4.125" crank to any of these combinations? If so, how much would the cost be? Specifically, does the LS2 have a deep enough sleeve to do it?

I do not have any hard numbers on the power differance between the 402/408 & L92 blocks w/ L92 heads. I would predict arprox. 10 HP from the 408" to L92. This is based on the cubic inches alone.

The application that you are going to use the engine for will be the best deciding factor in what block to run.

Feel free to give us a call to talk more about your intensions and goals for your car.

Sincerely,
Bryan LME

For the LS2 I personally would not run longer than the 4.0" stroke. The LS7 will be better suited. On the other hand. We can do a 413 out of the LS2 w/ an Eagle 4.100". LME has built several LS2's with this stroke combination w/ no issues. In the past we have seen some instances of oil comsumption with the longer 4.0" strokes. If I was building the engine for my personal vehicle I would go with the 4.0" stroke.

The price on a 413" LS2 is $4845.

Thank you,
Bryan
