Default LQ4 with l92 head how I can increase compression??

I have LQ4 iron block with stock dished pistons.The LQ4 compression around 9.5 to 9.7 & I'm wainting to go with L76 intake & L92 porting head.
I'm looking for 10.5 compression ratio, so what should I do to rich this ratio? replace pistons with stock flat pistons or milled the heads & which head gasket should I use?

Find some LQ9 or LS2 pistons and put in some .040 gaskets and it'll be 10.8

PM 04blacksiverado I think he might have a set of pistons for sale.

A couple of possible solutions;

LQ9 pistons w/.040 gasket, 70cc chamber should be 10.55cr.

Stock pistons w/.040 gasket and 64cc chamber, 10.56cr. Milled about .035.

Stock LQ4 is 9.4cr according to GM Powertrain. Ask your head porter about the available chamber size.

Hi: Piston question for you guys. If you have a stock Lq4 short block can you reuse the stock crank and rods and just swap out the pistons? Is the weight of the pistons close to the same so you don't have to rebalance the motor? What about the rods the LQ9 uses a full floating pin same as the LS2 rods. Do all of the Lq4s use this rod or only the new ones? What year did they switch over if they did? Some one else told me you could do this with no problems any body know for sure? Thanks
