Default doing a full ls2 vette motor into a 99 t/a....what do i need to do??

i have a procharged 99 t/a with a stock motor that just let out and i have an ls2 out of a vette to use..........i can get every part i need out of the wrecked vette so i need to know what i need to pull out and what needs to be changed on my car

and things like will my slp headers/p1sc/t56 fit the ls2?? from what i have been told i need the pcm a new oil pan and a new intake manifold (was told ls6 but why cant i use the ls2 one??) so i know somewhat of what i need and what i need to do but this is my first time messing with the ls2 so i really dont know much about it or the swap into my car

ANY info you guys can throw in for me would be awesome

I recently learned the 2005 LS2 has the same number of teeth on the reluctor wheel as the LS1/LS6. The 2006 and later have a different number of teeth and won't work with the LS1/LS6 PCM.

Search some of my post reguarding some of your questions.

All LS2 gto had 24x reluctor ring on the crank and possible 05 vette but not sure (YOU NOT RUN A 58X RELUCTOR RING AT ALL the signal is diffierent, but you can have it swapped out for a 24x ring). You should be able to use the ls2 intake and just buy a 90 mm T-body. I believe katech makes all the wiring that can be bought from Scoggin Dickey or Katech. Knock sensors must be relocated to the side of the block but other than that its pretty straight forward swap.

I my self I'm in the process of going from an LS6 to a LS2/L92/L76 swap in my Z06, pm me if you have any questions.

Cartek told me I needed:
  • Front cover with sensor
  • Valley cover with gasket
  • 2 LS2 knock sensors
  • 2 LS2 knock sensor harness conversion ends
  • 4 LS2 lifter guides

I just bought the Katech knock sensor extension harness and am using my stock sensors on the side of the block. I didnt know you could use LS2 knock sensors.
