Default Head Questions???

I have a 408ci motor will all supporting mods etc.

I currently have LS6 heads that have been ported and flow 347cfm/260cfm, I have an unported fast 90/90, and made 526rwhp/505rwtq through full exauste with a .240, .242, .610, 615, on a 115lsa cam.

I have been looking at new heads, but not sure what would be the best for my setup. Also I'm NA/nitrous so would I benefit from a carb style intake?

Heads I'm thinking about
Trick Flow with the same port style as LS6/LS1/LS2
L92 Heads

I'm not sure which would flow more fully done up, and which would work best on my setup and net me the most power or if I would even gain power by switching heads?

Please hel thanks guys

Thomas

Thomas,

I would have your fast ported and then leave it alone. Greg ported your heads didn't he?? Can't get much better than that. You could gain 15 RWHP or more if you port that intake for ~$500 or less and the gain wouldn't be more than that for a set of $2k plus heads...

Your not going to get much better going to another head...Id look more into a slightly different cam lobe and port the FAST intake and TB...The tb's have shown 15hp gains on an engine dyno.

I think your numbers are outstanding for that size cam, if you want more power, port the FAST. I bet if you brought the car to Greg, he could take the manifold apart and port match it up to the heads and squeeze every CFM possible out of it.

If you want more power after that, step the cam up to a 250* stick.

I think Greg Good did his heads. Greg is the best in the business. Flowed my ET 245`s, then greg took over and they flow there *** off even more now. Love what he did for me!!
