I was going to order a head cam package, but now it looks like I will have to wait a while (Wife wants an addition to the house). So I was thinking about doing a cam, rocker arms and spring upgrade for now. Any Ideas or has any one run a certain combo to get 400 or more rwhp with the stock ls1 heads.

MS3 or any equivelent cam, with supporting mods...ls6 intake, longtubes, yadda yadda will get you 400+ rwhp with ease.

Check out the dyno section or use the search, there's a billion threads, cam only 400 rwhp was a goal for people 4 or more years ago

I have a buddy with stock heads, LS6 intake, and longtubes with a little 224/224 and he made 380rwhp cam only.

400rwhp with a MS3 or MS4 should be easy.

It's been done many times, you'll need a bigger cam...MS3, G5X3...

we did a car a couple years back, made just over 400 with similar mods tou you. we tryed 3 cams.

the best was a custom gring 233/236 589/595 112+2 installed on a 110 it made 412 rwhp we used patrot dual springs and it had an electric water pump

Very possible to reach 400+ on a full bolton cam only car
And it dosen't have to be a big Nasty cam either

i made 395rwhp on a Mustang Dyno with a torquer 2 and thats through cats.. you dont need to stuff the biggest cam u can get to make 400rwhp
