Default LS2 Proper Oil Pressure

Ok, so I checked LS1GTO and nothing comes up 8 pages deep in search pages. I checked here, got a couple of opinions.

From a cold startup, at idle I see about 30-34psi of oil pressure, after it warms up it drops to about 24 solid. It does build pressure up to 40-50 when driving.

I presume this is normal, and the 5-20w Mobile 1 viscosity is just causing the lower oil pressure at idle?

Just want to make sure..

If you are an LS2 GTO or Corvette(ECM wise) and using HP Tuners scanner for oil pressure, then your reading is about 50% low.

I was using the Aeroforce to monitor it, which reads it from the ECM. So, safe to say it's 50% down? That makes sense actually..

Sounds just like my LS2 using a LS1 oil pan and pick up tube.

try switching the oil sensor or use a aftermarket or manual gauge to get a true reading.

My reading is with a Autometer gauge. The stock one shows slightly higher.
