Hey guys, I've been lurking around here for a while just reading and finally took the time to join. Looks like a cool site with a lot of information to be had.
I have a '97 Carmine red C5 that I bought a couple of months ago and I love it. I was originally looking for an '02 WS6 and ran across this vette for less $ than what I would have spent for a WS6, so I just couldn't pass it up, and I certainly do not regret my choice. I love the TA's but the vette is just soooo......
Anyway, look forward to getting to know everyone and learn something in the process.
Oh, and by the way, there are a LOT of cool cars here.

Thanks for the welcome. I've had 3 trans ams in the past. I had a bad *** '79 with a built 403, an '84, and an '88. So please try not to hold the vette against me.
A few interesting things about this car that appealed to me were.......the color first, there were only 381 carmine red '97's, then just 1077 Z51's, and 2739 w/performance axle 3.15 ratio. It makes the car a bit less common and I like that.
I'm running a vararam and a tune right now. Next are dimpled and slotted rotors and new pads. Then some cat backs, either corsa pace car/touring....or magnaflow, can't decide what sound I want. Next would be headers/X-pipe, then a gear change to 3.42's. Later on, probably heads, cam, intake, rockers, timing chain....ect, what ever I can afford.......or, maybe just a supercharger. All in good time tho'.
