Wanting to build a performance 305 TBI in a 92 RS Camaro
Ok so I just found this site and didn't know where to post this but I could really use some info on what I could do to my 305 TBI motor in my 92 RS Camaro.I was going to drop a 350 in it but I want to work with what I have plus you don't see to many 305 beating a 350 in a race! Any info anyone can provide would be usefull.

First off welcome to the site.
As far as the 305 I wouldn't even bother with it. If I was you. They are not performance motors. You will need to spend a lot of coin, just to get on par with a mild 350.
I would say drop in a 350 and haul @$$

With that being said. I have a 305 in my '76 truck. With a mild cam, dual plane intake and headers with good exhaust you can make a sweet running little small block. Just don't expect to out run a 350 with the same set up.
Also, there is a pretty good SBC/BBC forum down the page.

Thanks at least I can outrun the dang mustangs with the V6's lol and I've beat a truck with a vortec V6 so I'm running pretty good I think I'll do a little to it like a cam mostly for the sound I love to hear the loping of the engine and some heads maybe and some headers just for the look and a little performance I would like to make a carb swap from that TBI and can i put in a high performance oil pump without messin something up?

Good move ditching the TBI for a carb. TBI is great for a daily driver but has no place on a performance engine. And don't worry about anything but a stock oil pump for this type of build.

Yeah I'm young 22 but I'm learnin I like the old school way of things I want to ditch as much wiring as possible cause of the clean look and less hassle also the carbs they make today are just as good as fuel injection

I agree go carb. I understand wanting something different. But have you ever thought about a 5.3 swap? There cheaper then dirt and make good power. I know its FI but the LS engines look clean under the hood. Plus the support if huge for these motors.

ya know your right I probally can go to a junk yard and get one cheap that was pulled out of a newer truck and it wouldn't take to much to install it either and there a bunch of stuff you can buy for a LS motor
