transplant your car stuff to the 6.0 and do pcm tune u should be ready to go. that's what everybody says as externally motors are same. check alienator bracket to block as may not be 1 hole on block from what I read in past. drill & tap 1 maybe possible problem?

The trans am am body I have was in the woods for a few years I found a lot of bolts but not sure which go where. The old transmision is a 4l60e, it has been out the car since 2013 with low fluid level. Is it possible it's still good? Or should I just get a t56 and not even bother with it.

Also the car supposedly has a brand new 255walbro in tank would it survive that long ?

sounds like a lost project. Does it even have the original stuff? If not your going to be buying a lot of stuff. Basically u going to need everything from the 5.7 Ls car motor to swap over to complete this. Truck basic motor will work but not external stuff. Exhaust headers, pan, intake. Tranny I wouldn't trust it as water ruins electrical parts. Show some pics of things u have going

i just got a lq9 from a 03 escalde with about 80k on it, i have at least 90% of everything, mainly just bolts missing. i have the old engine and trans also.

the clear coat is fucked but i dont care much about that. the inside is still nice but the passenger seat need to be recovered some cracks in the leather im guessing from something heavy setting there for a long time.

This is spot on....I just put a LQ4 in a 98 T/A
Had to drill/tap a hole in the block for the alternator (use alt bracket for template. Re-use all the 5.7 drive accessories, get a tune and your good to go. GL

anime u gt into tearing cars apart or junk yard get bolts for anything. I collected 2 5 gallon pails and lots of clips, rubber parts, clamps, screws. Small stuff sorted and in ice cream buckets. Be surprised how much u can reuse
