Congrats! No matter what look over every inch of the car and if you can't drive it, don't buy it! Ask accident history, and make sure every **** and switch works.
Good luck, I hope you find what you're looking for.

You will be extremely happy when you cross over.. I drove an FWD turbo dodge for the past 2 years and picked up a low mileage WS-6 with some minor suspension work. I love it. I will miss the flickability from my SRT but that all goes out the window when i hit the go pedal.

Good for you man, although I wouldn't call your Eclipse rice.
Just to help you out a little, an LS1 is an LS1. They are all just about as quick. So if you don't care for a WS6 (or SS) badge, a hood and a couple other things go with the base T/A (or Z28) and spend the money on mods.
Just some food for thought.

A T/A or Z28, so you have more funds if you are going the forced induction route. The prices on a SS or WS6 are quite a bit higher.
That Eclipse is clean, not really ricerish. You'll enjoy the switch though, I was never impressed with either my Mom's 00 Eclipse, or the 05 she had.

yea the eclipse is nice but the aftermarket really lacks for parts. there isn't even a turbo kit in production anymore. ive got most of the major bolt ons for that like longtube headers. for a V6 it eats a lot of older V8s but i cant get off the line without smoking the tires. fwd ftl
where do you guys do the majority of your aftermarket shopping?

There are a lot of great vendors to the right on this page. Most of them are very help fuland willing to discuss parts and builds for your car. Or you can check the Sponsor Sales section on the forum. Welcome to LS1tech.

Also, go to the local track and ask around of other Chevy owners. They'll know the good shops, and will usually warn you of all the places that'll rip you off.

I know for me atleast, when i was looking for an ls1 powered cars, there seemed to be a pretty big price difference between the z28 and the SS. From what I have heard, there isnt much of a difference in performance. So thats why I went Z28. Just something to think about if you want to have some extra money left over for mods.
