Default NOSzle issues......

Just installed new NOSzle system. All seems faily well other than it is not a pretty system...Just too many lines evertywhere and no "good" place for the solenoids to be mounted.

Problem is it bogs for a second then hits REAL hard. I have it wired to a button as I did my old single nozzle NX system. It just falls on its face for a sec and then hits and runs fine @ around 12.5-13.0 a/f ratio. It almost acts like low bottle pressure or a kinked line but those check out fine.

Any ideas?

dumping fuel...then n2o? have you tried to switch out solenoids??

Are you running high pressure or low pressure?

Give East Side Performance a call.. they have the most experience with the NOSzle setup ---->

Stang killer is on the right path. Sounds like a classic case of fuel hitting before the bottle.

Get a purge valve and that will go away, it's a must with a port injected system.

I do have a purge, still boggs. I have the 175 jets in now but have not looked at fuel pressure as I hit it yet. I am on high pressure off of the fuel rail. On initial hit a/f ratio hits 20 for just a sec and then drops to 12.5 or so. I am fairly sure it did this on the single nozzle kit @150hp anyway. Maybe I am asking too much from the fuel rail to supply? I do have in line t-rax pump which should be good up to 200 hp. I may jet down to 100hp and see what happens.

Sould regulate the fuel to 7 psi on that system..

using 24/16 jetting as manual says with 43psi fuel pressure off of rail. (not sure what my actual fuel pressure is)

Your stock fuel pressure should be around 54 psi. That could be part of your problem. A friend is putting the Noszle system on his Z06. He called NOS and they told him to use smaller fuel jets, but I don't know how much smaller they suggested. You might give them a call.

how long are your lines? are they all the same length or did you shorten the fuel side? give me a shout and lets compare setups. i am not sure how big of a hesitation your getting as i do have about a .5 second delay when mine hits. i am also pilled to 175. i changed my jets to 16/ 26 and i get a 150RWHP level out of it. still running 10:1 on the dyno as well. i have been really happy with mine so far. 132mph traps on a stock Z06 were real suprising to a lot of people including me!!

my lines are all the same length, I'd have to measure to see how long maybe 12" or so. I did find 2 lines on the n2o side that MAY have been tightened too tight and crimped the line..again this is a MAYBE. I will try again tonight and see. I think I have a fuel pressure regulator laying around left over from a Supra that I may try, dropping the pressure before the solenoids.

I am pretty well familiar with n2o as I have been running it for years. This car has gone 10.3's on a single nozzle with a stock bottom end. I just can't figure this one out.

Maybe I should shorten the n2o lines? smaller fuel jets? put in a reg. and drop pressure?

Could it be draining the fuel rail? Is there anyway to have a small reservoir in the line w/o doing a complete seperate fuel system/cell?

i do have about a .5 second delay when mine hits.
This really bothers me....I am thinking the fuel rail can't keep up and it is the motor starving more than the n2o system.

Anyone else have this system have the same problem?

OK, I have a regulator before the solenids now, set @ 5.5 psi flowing through a #70 holley jet(should be equal)I may drop fuel pressure to 5 psi because it is between 10:1-11:1 on wideband. still has a hesitation but runs like a beast after initial hit. Running 28/28 jets.

Any ideas?

how much power did you make with it set up that way
also try not to get any lower then that fuel i would up to 6 psi and go down with the fuel jet
maybe 28/26 or I have run with great luke on a noszle kit 30/28 which you should have for jets in your kit pull timing back to 21 and put fuel pressure at 6.5lbs see where that puts you
my guess a little over 300hp and safe

That was not on a dyno. I have a wideband (FJO) in the car. I am going to the track tonight to do a "real" test. Not sure how bad the bog is from a dead stop. If it still bogs I will try to drop the fuel jet.

I am afraid it will take a low pressure fuel system to work....Have you not had any bogging issues with the hp/regulator?
