Default Ran the 1/8th with the DRs...wish it was the 1/4

Well I finally got rid of my Fuzions and got my Nittos mounted on and went to the track yesterday. Unfortunately they were only running the 1/8th mile so they could fit all the racers in because there was such a big turnout for points racing.

Anyway....

Previous run with the new setup and CRAPPY fuzion zris spinning hard.

Reaction : .7812
60 Ft: 2.2468
ET @ 594: 8.2066
1/8th ET: 8.7329
1/8th MPH: 85.61
1/4 ET: 13.2176
1/4 MPH: 112.06

Now here was my best 1/8th mile pass with the nittos

Reation: .7099
60 Ft: 2.0652
ET @594: 7.8481
1/8 ET: 8.3541
1/8 MPH: 87.22

That was a 2500 RPM clutch dump. The car dead hooked, boggged, then took off, so I believe with a ~3000 launch I could even lower my 60 more.

Do you think this was my mid 12 second pass?

According to the 1/8 mile to 1/4 conversion it's a 12.95 to 13.0 pass.

Congrats.

thank you.. I tried using that 1/8 - 1/4 conversion but it was saying that my previous 13.2 run's 1/8th time was around a 13.7ish. So i figured it wasn't very accurate.

one of my friends ran 7.92 at 86.X mph, so with that mph you have a lot of potential, his was a stalled auto tho and a 1.75 short time. i would've suggested some real dr's tho, like some m/t's or at least bfg's.

uhhh that's a cammed car? are you racing at 5500' or something? nice 60' i guess on DRs, but for some reason my 99 ta went 8.40 @ 87 with nothing but a lid and flowmaster muffler, all else stock, including tires. no weight removal...? it was in the fall, but still, i'd expect an ms3 car to dominate, especially given the other mods.

nice car, but something is up with the performance.

You can leave harder, I do! still on a ten bolt, My car before cam, with gear and exhaust went 7.80 at 87 at shadyside, small shot and cam went 7.07 at 98, what would that be in a 1/4??

From my experience Sunday, that is not a mid 12. That is a high 12.

That is also a poor 60 for a DR car.

My car (bolt on) cut a 1.90 on street tires with the right clutching (slip a hair at 4k, let it bog and run).

That pass was a 8.33@85

You SHOULD be able to cut a 1.8-1.9 on those tires, and THERE will be your mid 12. But you'll need a 8.10 to do it.

Maybe an 8.20 with that cam....

Ya I know I could have had a better 60ft, but that pass was first round and i broke out I dialed a 8.40 because I hadn't really had a chance to launch the car with the new tires. At 2500rpm it dead hooked, bogged hard, and then picked up. I think with a 3500rpm or so slip I could have cut a 1.7-1.8 which would get me a high 7.X to a low 8.x 1/8th et

I think you would have cut a 1.8 for an 8 flat or so.

I'm going to shadyside next week to cut some 7.8x's on same mods as you before cam. Unfortunately I'll have to do it on the rev limiter as I run out of gear and my rev limiter is set to 6100.

I agree and I think with a little more RPM and a clutch slip so I don't bog I would be able to cut those times.

The difference between the 1/8 and 1/4 ETs on the first run was 4.485 seconds. Just adding that to your 8.354 pass would put you at 12.839, but you had almost 2 extra mph. So it would have atleast went 12.7, maybe a 12.6.
