Trans am vs GTP vs 308 I raced this GTP awhile ago, when I was stock..Now he wanted to go again since he added his 75 shot. Well, we went 20-120 and I put idk 4-5 cars on him. Heres the vid from the first race, I dont have the second uploaded yet.

And I also got called out by a 90 fox body, 5 spd, 308, F Cam,tb,pullies, Trickflow upper/lower intake,bbk cai, ported GT 40 heads,Short throw,4 10s, 24lb injectors,10:5:1 compression pistons and nice *** cowl hood, some weight reduction.
me and the stang are running tonite, yes it will be on video... what u guys think? My car is a A4 with stock 2 73s full bolt ons with a tune. And its gonna be cold tonite WOooHOOOOO our cars are gonna be running gooooo0o0o0o0d!

As for the gtp, that first race is kinda embarassing for him. You doing that race with his 75 shot from a roll or dig? Either way, I would say you would win, but don't count your chickens before they hatch.

sounds like the junkstang is going to walk but what do you have done to your car? i work with a guy who has a gtp running 14 lbs of boost and he's always talking ****, so we will race soon and you gave me a little more confidence since you walked on one with a 75 shot

you sure that's a GTP? it looked like a straight 3800 lol.. christ that was total destruction..if you check the clubgp site, they have those GTP's running low 13's with the common mods/bolt ons and even some are low 12's with cam/converter & bolt ons?? some on spray running 12.2's and what not?
you still have 2.73's? if you've gone to the track, what have you run?

Went to Cordova today for the MFBA Track Rental.
Track prep was amazing.
weather was good in the morning and early afternoon.
car kept getting faster through the day when i called it quits at 2:30 after my best run ever.

had NUMEROUS runs in the 12.4s and traps in the 108 so i'm extreamly pleased with how my setup is running. here are a scan of the slip and a picture of the car with the number on it.

REEALLYYY identical time slip to my 12.2@108.
My mod list is a bit shorter than yours though
50shot and 3.4 pulley. The rest was bone stock with 100k+ on it. Even has the factory stock intake mani gasket on it.

What makes you say that? Most H/C/I 5.0s run with stock LS1's. Ive got full bolton's and a tune,and my car puts down pretty decent numbers for just boltons. and it hooks up good on the street. And a 308 isnt much bigger then a 302... I think it will be a good race!

foxes have less weight, he's running close to as much power as you, and he has 4.10's if he hooks and he probably will he will rape you out of the hole. I have full bot-ons with a tune and those 2.73's-they suck takes forever to get in the powerband.

yeah they suck. but he however, cant launch his car for ****. So what if he is less weight/better geared? If he cant drive it doesnt mean anything...Cuz all this kid does it rev his car up then drop the clutch and make it spin. Spinning isnt winning.

His cars faster but he sucks at driving it - I have a sneaky suspicion he didn't build that car. Maybe you'll win afterall I have been lucky enough to race an 04 cobra at the track and canned his ***, dude got 15sec, think it has anything to do with the driver?

unless he swaped in a gen 5 they're good to around 15 psi
also the more that's done to the gtp the less boost it will run with any given pully
example mine ran 11 psi stock and after rockers,dp,ported manafolds it droped to 8.5
i'm now running 13 psi on my 2004 gtp and it will run with ls1's
nothing better than stomping mustangs with a 4 door....an orange 4 door

Definitely a smashing. Curious as to how the 75 shot race will turn out. You definitely have a good chance against the stang.
knight17Z, adding more flow from headers, etc. will drop the boost preassure, but the car will be faster. Flow is what adds hp, not boost.

if they can hook. GTP's are Beasts from Stops. they make all there power in low rpm.
i guess its why 350whp is all a GTP needs to hit 11s in the 1/4. horrible trap speed but they get through the 1/8 so quick lol.
