How are your LS7 Lifters holding up?
How manny RPM u taking them too?
What motor , CI, nitrous, blown etc.
How manny miles on them?
Installed at what preload?
Why are they calling them LS7 lifters , were they built different for the LS7/ZO6?
Lets get some more info on these for new engine builds

lets get some things straight first...the "LS7" are the norm now. The lifters that had the probs were the high rev racing lifters. These "LS7" lifters should just be called LS lifters. Actually they shouldnt be called that either, because they are the same lifter as a SBC. There are people spinning some serious RPMS on them with no probs...i have seen one pulled to 7k consistently and have no problems
and they are hydraulic and the stock rockers are normally non adjustable without the arp studs...so you just set em and forget em
if you have an adjustable valve train, they usually say .020-.040 iirc, with the upper .020 being if you are going to run alot higher revs, so it wont effect pump up so much, but someone can correct me if i am wrong

We run them in our racecar (see sig) without issues. That engine has seen 7500rpm a couple times (just to show the rods who's boss, LOL!)
And gectek is slightly incorrect on preload. GM sets them up between .060"-.100". We recommend .050"-.080" typically.

Glad to hear about the success with the stock lifters. I tried to get my tuner for my project to spec CTSV or COMP or CRANE or MOREL lifters, but for my build he (HorsePower Sales in Pompano Beach) convinced me the OEM GM lifters are just fine.

i just bought some from new era performance paid a little under 160.00 shipped. call them 585-865-1832. They can tell you exactly the difference between the ls1 and the ls7's becuase the LS7's have better internals than the stock ls1's

It's the same lifter, same casting number on the body, etc. It's just packaged in a set of 16 instead of being sold separately.

Mine are holding up ok but my car doesn't see as much abuse as some do. It's an A4 shifting at 6500. Maybe a dozen passes at the track, 2k - 3k miles and some WOT time on the street. Preload about .060 - .070 IIRC.
One thing I'll mention though. Right after I installed them with my heads/cam sometimes it would tap very loud on a cold start, like one of them was stuck. It would do this for a few miles then go away once it warmed up. This went away after a few hundred miles and has not returned.
